The Unit aims to serve the community by providing studies, consultancy services, and field and implementation works across all disciplines of surveying engineering. It offers professional consultancy services to government entities, private organizations, contracting companies, and individual clients.
• Postgraduate students and students of the Faculty.
• The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
• New City Authorities, including the New Administrative Capital, New Obour, New Warraq, New Alamein, and others.
• The Construction Research and Development Authority.
• Landowners in new urban communities, including Sheikh Zayed Extensions, Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Amal, 6th of October City, and others.
• The Executive Agency for Greater Cairo Reconstruction Projects.
• Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.).
• The Egyptian Joint Stock Company for Construction.
• Producing detailed and topographic maps using conventional land surveying methods, aerial photography, or satellite imagery.
• Conducting surveying works for roads, water supply and wastewater networks and stations, as well as major infrastructure projects such as dams, reservoirs, and bridges.
• Monitoring and analyzing the movement of structures, buildings, and reinforced concrete and steel bridges during and after construction under various loading conditions.
• Assessing and controlling the vertical alignment of buildings and high-rise towers during construction and after completion.
• Developing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases and converting paper maps into digital maps.
• Applying remote sensing technologies across a wide range of engineering and development projects.
• Providing surveying applications using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers for precise positioning and monitoring.
• Providing surveying services for earthworks, grading and leveling, as well as mechanical and electrical installations.
• Calculating earthwork quantities and preparing periodic and final technical reports.
• Calibrating and adjusting all surveying instruments.
• Organizing professional training courses in surveying and digital map production using advanced surveying equipment.
• Carrying out land subdivision, property boundary demarcation, asset valuation, and assessment of land owned by banks, companies, and individuals.
• Establishing ground control point (GCP) networks.
• Documenting the façades of historical and archaeological buildings and producing vertical, horizontal, and 3D models using Laser Scanner technology.
• Supporting scientific research across all surveying disciplines.
