The Faculty of Arts launches the Arabic Language and Literature course for endowment imams and preachers

The activities of the training course organized by Ain Shams University represented by the Faculty of Arts, entitled: "Arabic Language and Literature", were launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mukhtar Gumaa, Minister of Endowments, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President University for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Prof. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, implemented by Prof. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The lectures cover a number of topics over a period of 4 days, including: Arabic language, Arabic grammar, foundations of the Arabic language and its innovations, as well as common linguistic errors in reading and writing.

Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized during the opening of the training course activities that holding this course comes within the framework of activating one of the provisions of the protocol concluded on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 between Ain Shams University and the Ministry of Endowments within the framework of the role that the sector plays Serving the community and developing the environment by holding protocols and working to implement them, in order to achieve scientific and cultural cooperation between the university and the various state institutions for the sake of the homeland's advancement and advancement.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Fakharani, Assistant Minister of Endowments, affirmed his happiness with the warm reception and hospitality of the officials of the Faculty of Arts, as they worked to provide all facilities and prepared a tight arrangement for the activities of the session.

He stressed the importance of this training course in raising the competence of imams and preachers, believing in the sublime message they perform, as the Arabic language is a tool of communication between the imam and the congregation, and that the tongue of the nation are the preachers, imams and preachers. Therefore, they must be distinguished by the integrity of the language and the integrity of thought. It is a fruit, then its honey is produced.” Therefore, they found no greater than the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, to derive this knowledge from it.

Professor Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University stressed that holding this training course comes within the framework of the core role of Ain Shams University represented by the Faculty of Arts, especially the Department of Arabic Language, in presenting the fundamentals of culture and the rules of the authentic Arabic language to learners.

The "Dean of the Faculty" expressed his hope for the continuation of the bonds of friendship between the House of Expertise in the Arabic Language and the House of Expertise in Dawa and Religion represented in the Ministry of Endowments. He also urged imams and lecturers that the lectures should include fruitful dialogue as an alternative to traditional methods of indoctrination.

While Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirmed that the training course is held from today and over a period of 4 days, at a rate of 30 hours, and about 50 imams and preachers benefit from them, in addition to making an evaluation after each lecture, and certificates are given and those in charge of the course are honored. Next Sunday at the closing ceremony of the training course.

A group of professors of the Arabic Language Department lecture there, headed by Professor Manal Muharram, Head of the Department, Professor Hoda Attia, Professor of Rhetoric, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Hamid, and Dr. Fatima Abdel-Tawab.

Al-Didi also emphasized observing the rules of social distancing and precautionary measures to confront the spread of the Coronavirus and providing all services and facilities for scholars and lecturers.
