Mission

The Unit aims to promote a culture of scientific creativity and entrepreneurship, and to support students and faculty members in fostering innovation and developing their creative capabilities.

Innovation and entrepreneurship in a Faculty of Dentistry focus on improving oral healthcare through new technologies and creating business opportunities from dental ideas. Innovation includes using advanced tools like digital dentistry (CAD/CAM, 3D printing), artificial intelligence for diagnosis, minimally invasive treatments, and teledentistry to enhance patient care and efficiency. Entrepreneurship involves turning these innovations into real-world ventures, such as opening modern clinics, launching dental tech startups, developing oral care products, or offering mobile and online dental services. Faculties of Dentistry support this by providing education in business and innovation, encouraging research, offering mentorship and startup support, and engaging with the community.
