2022-12-04First: an overview of its procedure
Receiving the approvals of the competent authorities to establish units and centers affiliated with the postgraduate studies and research sector at the level of the university, its faculties, and hospitals to approve its establishment.
Receiving the regulations for the units and centers affiliated to the sector and preparing a memorandum for presentation to the Standing Committee for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, which will be submitted to the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council for initial approval of the establishment and transfer of the regulations to the Financial Affairs and Legal Affairs Departments for study and opinion.
Follow up with the General Administration of Financial Affairs and the General Administration of Legal Affairs to express an opinion on the regulations, then address the unit/center to make the necessary amendments to them and provide us with the approved and sealed in preparation for presenting them to the Graduate Studies and Research Council, then the University Council to approve the establishment of the unit/center and adopt the regulations
Writing to Mr. / Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities to approve the establishment and approval of the regulations of the centers and units affiliated to the sector based on the decision of the University Council issued in this regard.
Addressing the Central Department of Financial Expertise at the Ministry of Finance to approve the regulations in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities, and then present them to the University Council again for issuance after the approval of the Ministry of Finance.
Receiving a proposal to form the board of directors of the center/unit, as well as nominating a director for it. Memorandums are prepared for presentation to Prof. Dr. / President of the University for approval and issuing his Excellency’s decision to delegate and form, then inform the units and centers of the decision and follow up on their renewal periodically after the end of the period.
Addressing the units and centers to provide us with scientific and financial reports annually and to take procedures to review them to determine their position on paying the university share and whether there are differences between them or not Then a memorandum is prepared for presentation to Prof. Dr. / Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research to take note of the scientific and financial reports received and to agree to address the unit to provide us with the required differences.
Receiving the original minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors from the units and centers and taking the procedures for its approval from Prof. Dr. / President of the University, then sending it to the unit again after its approval.
Preparing notes for presentation to the Standing Committee for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs for study and expressing an opinion in preparation for presentation to the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council and the University Council, if necessary, in applications submitted by some units and centers to exempt them from paying the university share percentage or its differences.
Addressing the directors of units and centers to provide us with electronic payment orders for transferring the percentage of the university share and its differences from the center/unit accounts to the research unit account in accordance with the decisions of the University Council and its amendments issued in this regard.
Addressing the gentlemen/deans of faculties and directors of centers and units to take note of the decisions of the university’s share and the amendments that occur to them on an up-to-date basis and follow up on their implementation.
Preparing a memorandum for presentation to the Council of Graduate Studies and Research to approve the formation of a committee of scientific laboratories and apparatus, provided that it consists of the deputies of faculties and institutes for postgraduate studies and research, then presenting it to the University Council for approval of the formation.
The university faculties are notified of the decision of the university council on formation.
