According to the General Conference of the International Council of Museums, held in Prague on August 24, 2022, a museum is defined as “a permanent, non-profit institution that works to serve society, researching, collecting, preserving, interpreting and displaying the tangible and intangible heritage”. Museums are open to the public as a comprehensive institution. Museums not only promote diversity and sustainability, but also engage and communicate professionally and with the participation of communities, and provide diverse experiences for education, enjoyment, reflection and knowledge exchange.
