Within the framework of official academic visits, Zafaran Palace Museum welcomed today an international delegation of foreign experts, on the sidelines of their visit to Ain Shams University, as part of the first quality assessment visit conducted by the international committee of the GEMS-Tech Project, entitled:
“Green Maritime Navigation Horizons, Collaborative Innovation, and Sustainable Technologies.”
The visit program also included tours of the Innovation and Training Sector and several faculties of the university.
The delegation was received on behalf of the museum by Dr. Walaa El-Din Badawy, Director of Zafaran Palace Museum, along with the museum curators and the Public Relations and Community Engagement team. The delegation was accompanied during the visit by Prof. Dr. Nevine Assem, Chief Executive Officer of the Innovation and Training Sector.
The museum tour covered all exhibition halls, which display archaeological artifacts and collections highlighting the historical significance of Egypt from the earliest periods through the Islamic era, in addition to collections related to the Muhammad Ali Dynasty.
The visitors listened with great interest to the explanations provided by the museum curators, which received wide admiration from the delegation—particularly the Digital Heritage Hall, which offers an advanced technological experience using digital interpretation tools for presenting archaeological collections in an engaging manner, such as hologram technology and virtual reality headsets, providing visitors with an enhanced and immersive experience.
At the conclusion of the tour, the delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to the museum staff for their efforts and for presenting the museum in such an outstanding manner. They also took commemorative photographs to document this remarkable visit to the museum
