Biography

Karam S. I. Farag, Assistant Professor of Geophysics at the Faculty of Science–Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He has been teaching both under- and post-graduate courses on Geophysical Inversion Theory, Electromagnetics, Paleomagnetism and Mining Geophysics since 2006. He got his Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr.rer.nat.) in Geophysics from the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Cologne University, Germany in 2005. He is an Executive Manager of Geophysical Studies and Geo-environmental Consultations (GSEC) Special Unit at the Scientific Studies and Consultations Center (SSCC)–Ain Shams University. He is a Consultant Geophysicist at the Egyptian Syndicate of Scientific Professions (ESSP) and Consultant of Infrastructures Field (Geotechnical Studies–National Level–Class "C") at the Egyptian General of Physical Planning (GOPP). He is an Accredited Reviewer at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA–CSSP), Egypt. He received the Egyptian Geophysical Society (EGS) Award–2014 for the best presented research.
