Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and stemming from Ain Shams University's societal role and its commitment to actively contributing to monitoring and analyzing societal issues and phenomena, and providing scientific insights that support sustainable development efforts, the Community Observatory at Ain Shams University emerges as a specialized scientific and research platform operating under the umbrella of the Community Service and Environmental Development sector.
The observatory focuses on studying and scientifically analyzing societal problems and issues within the Egyptian context. This allows for a deeper understanding of the social transformations and challenges facing society, and contributes to providing scientific insights that support decision-makers and help formulate policies and initiatives that serve the community.
The observatory also draws upon Ain Shams University's diverse scientific expertise, advanced research tools, and university, local, and international databases, enhancing its ability to provide reliable scientific analyses that support development efforts and meet the needs of society.
As part of its research role in monitoring contemporary social phenomena, the observatory is currently studying the impact of the increasing use of electronic games on the behavior of university students. This phenomenon is widespread among young people, and the observatory is examining the potential behavioral, social, and academic changes associated with it.
Therefore, the Observatory invites university students to participate in the attached survey by answering the questions. This will contribute to providing accurate scientific data that will help researchers understand the dimensions of this phenomenon more deeply.
This participation comes within the framework of cooperation between students and the university, aiming to reach scientific insights that contribute to proposing practical solutions and positive alternatives that support the conscious use of technology and promote positive behaviors among university students. This will achieve the ultimate goal: for the university to monitor societal issues, and for society to benefit from science and knowledge.
