• Professor of Public Health; Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. • Professor at Biomedical Research Department, Armed Forces College of Medicine (AFCM). • Public Health Consultant, National Climate Change Adaptation Plan in Egypt, UNDP and Ministry of Environment. • Member of National Council for Environment Research, National Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. • Member of the National Committee of Toxicology, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. • Member of the Supreme Committee of Accreditation, General Authority of Health care Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) • Member of Health and Population Committee, National Women Council. • President of Egyptian Environmental Mutagen Society • President of the Pan African Environmental Mutagen Genomics Society (PAEMGS) • Secretary General of the International Association of Environmental Mutagens and Genomics Societies (IAEMGS) • President of the Specialized Federation of Scientific Research NGOs, Egypt • President of the Specialized Federation of Health System Improvement NGOs, Egypt Internationally, she is a member of several Committee and Associations including Health Literacy Working Group, WHO Global Coordination Mechanism for The Prevention and Control of NCD (GCM/NCD), WHO since 2016, the Jury of the UNESCO - International Prize for Research in Life Sciences (Since 2009), Marie Curie Fellow, FP7, EC, 2008, Collegium Ramazini Fellow, Carpi, Italy since 2006. She actively participated in the implementation of several research projects funded from several sources nationally and internationally. She has more than 100 International and national publications and received several international prizes and awards including, Fogarty International Fellowship Award, (1986) and the CEES Award, France (1986). Dr. A. T. Shousha Foundation Prize (WHO) for 2001 and Marie Curie, FP7, EC, (2008). Nationally, she received Egyptian National Award of the Academy of Sciences, (1992), Ain Shams University Award for excellence in research (2013), Ain Shams University Honorary Award, (2017), the State Merit Award for Medical Sciences, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt (2020), and several other awards.
