Prof. Sabry Hemida Hassanin Ali


Biography


Prof. Dr. Sabry Hemida Hassanin is an Professor of Animal Physiology, Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University. with an extensive academic and research career spanning several decades. He was born on November 10, 1956, in Cairo, Egypt, where he continues to contribute significantly to the field of animal science. Dr. Sabry Hemida earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Production from the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University in 1979, graduating with a very good grade with honors. He continued his postgraduate studies at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Animal Physiology in 1985, followed by a Ph.D. in Animal Physiology in 1992. His research focused on endocrine functions in animals and physiological studies related to milk production in ruminants. He began his academic career as a Demonstrator at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, in 1979, and progressively advanced through academic ranks. He served as a Teaching Assistant, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor before being appointed as a full Professor in 2004 in the Department of Animal Production at Ain Shams University. Dr. Sabry Hemida also gained valuable international experience as a member of the Scientific Research Laboratory of Lactation at INRA in Jouy-en-Josas, France, between 1990 and 1992. Additionally, he worked at Bangui University in Central Africa, where he held positions as Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Throughout his career, Dr. Sabry Hemida has specialized in animal physiology, particularly in hormonal analysis using radioimmunoassay (RIA) techniques. His research interests include reproductive physiology, milk production, animal nutrition, and the effects of environmental stress on livestock. He has contributed to numerous research projects, including studies on estrus synchronization in sheep and physiological responses in animals under varying environmental conditions. Dr. Sabry Hemida is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Egyptian Society of Animal Production, the Egyptian Society of Nutrition and Feeds, and other scientific associations. He has also contributed to editorial and academic communities related to physiology and animal science. He has an extensive list of scientific publications in national and international journals, covering topics such as animal reproduction, nutrition, physiology, and environmental adaptation. His work has significantly contributed to advancing knowledge in animal science, particularly in regions with challenging climatic conditions. Dr. Sabry Hemida Hassanin remains a respected academic figure, dedicated to teaching, research, and the development of animal production sciences in Egypt and beyond.
