Prof. Mohamed Ismail Roushdy
Biography
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Roushdy received his Ph.D. in 1993, M.Sc. degree in 1984 and B.Sc. degree in 1979 from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University. His experimental doctoral research work was conducted at Bochum University in Germany during 1989-1991. He is a Professor of Computer Science since 2007 and Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt since 2010 till 2018 and Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Future University in Egypt from 2019 till 2023 and Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Innovation University from 2024 till 2025 as sabbatical. Now he is working as an Emeritus Professor in Computer Science Department, Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University as a permanent Job. Also, he is working as 2- Rapporteur of the Scientific Committee for Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors in Computer Science and Information at the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities from 1/10/2025 till now. His areas of research are Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge engineering, Machine Learning, Expert Systems, Medical Informatics, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Biometrics. He published more than 160 scientific papers in International Journals, International Conferences and Book Chapter. He has been involved in more than 50 conferences and workshops as a Keynote speaker, member of several international program committees, organizer and session chair.
