Prof. Hany Samir Mohammad Osman


Biography


Prof. Hany Samir Mohammad Osman is a Professor of Plant Physiology in the Department of Agricultural Botany, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Egypt. His research interests include plant abiotic stress physiology, antioxidant metabolism, plant growth regulators, plant biochemistry, crop productivity, agronomy, horticulture, and sustainable agricultural technologies. Prof. Osman has published widely on crop responses to drought, salinity, osmotic stress, and heavy-metal contamination, with particular emphasis on physiological and biochemical mechanisms that enhance plant resilience and productivity. His research also investigates the application of beneficial microorganisms, biostimulants, nano-silicon, compost, biochar, and other eco-friendly strategies for improving crop performance under stress conditions. Beyond his publication record, Prof. Osman plays an important role in scholarly communication as a reviewer, editor, and manuscript-handling academic.
