Biography

‎ ‎ Abeer M. Mahmoud received the B.S. degree in computer ‎science and M.S in Artificial Intelligence (Knowledge ‎Discovery and Data Mining) from Computer science ‎department, Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, ‎Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2000, and 2004, ‎respectively. She received Ph.D. in Engineering ‎‎(mechatronics-Bio-Cybernetics department) from the ‎Graduate School of Engineering- Niigata University, Japan, ‎‎2010. ‎ She was Assistant Professor in Computer Sciences Department, College of ‎Computer and Information Sciences, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman ‎University, Riyadh, KSA‎. Associate professor of computer science, 2016 and she is ‎currently a Professor of Computer Science, with Computer science department, ‎Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. ‎As Egyptian woman, she has contributed to the artificial intelligence and ‎knowledge discovery standards. She published more than 50 research articles ‎between conferences and international journals. Her current research interests ‎include big data and data science, artificial intelligence, and medical data mining, ‎and robotic simulation systems.‎
