Prof. Ahmed Kamel Mohamed ibrahem El-Ziaty

Biography

Ahmed Kamel El-ziaty was born in 1971 Cairo, Egypt. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry 1994 “very good with honour degree” from Ain Shams University (ASU), Cairo, Egypt. He received his M.Sc. in 1999 (ASU) in organic chemistry (Studies on some organic compounds containing sulfur and nitrogen atoms (. and He awarded Ph.D. in 2004 in the field chemistry of heterocyclic compounds (Studies on some benzoxazinone and quinazolinone derivatives.) In 2012 he held an Associate Professor position and in 2017 he became full professor at Faculty of Science Ain Shams University. His research interests include, the synthesis, characterization and reactions of heterocyclic compounds containing nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen atoms such as 3, 1-benzoxazin-4-ones, quinazolin-4-ones, oxazolones, pyrimidinthiones, coumarins, chromones and pyrimidinones with significant pharmacological activities such as anticancer, analgesic, and antimicrobial activities. He is a reviewer in some scientific journals, vice president of Heterocyclic Egyptian Chemical Society, fellow of the Union of Arab Chemists and a member of the editorial board of world journal of chemistry. He participated in many international and local scientific conferences and supervised many of masters and PhDs thesis. He received ASU International Publications Awards from 2103-2021. He Participated in teaching part-time in several private engineering institutes within the Arab Republic of Egypt, He has 42 published articles in Scopus with 14 H index and total citation 452 till Jun. 2022 https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=23008462100
