About the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing
The Department of Family and Community Health Nursing is one of the main departments at the Faculty of Nursing, Ain Shams University. Family and Community Health Nursing is taught to fourth-year undergraduate students. The curriculum focuses on consolidating the concept of promoting preventive health from diseases and caring for all groups and individuals in society in health and illness. It also focuses on evaluating the health of the individual, family, community, occupational health, school health, and home visits to provide nursing care for patients with chronic diseases, pregnant women, and mothers who breastfeed their children through distinguished programs in the master's and doctorate degrees in family health, community health, and occupational health. The department has many qualified faculty members and their assistants who are dedicated to providing the highest quality education and research, and providing academic, psychological, and moral support to students.

The vision of Community Health Nursing department Ain Shams University is ensuring the national level by excellence of community health nursing undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education through academic resources to achieve the high level of regional and international excellence.
The mission of Family and Community Health Nursing Department
The mission of Community Health Nursing department is to prepare distinguish Community Health Nursing personnel scientifically and professionally to perform competent health care for individuals, families, and community with effective competition at the national and regional levels. The mission also focuses on empowering the community agencies, and organizations to meet the Egyptian community health needs and to prevent health problems.
