Dr. Shimaa AbuZeid

Biography

A Physics researcher, looking for new physics phenomena, at CMS experiment (CERN). Professional with a Doctor of Science (Double PhD degree) focused in Elementary Particle Physics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) and Ain Shams University (Egypt). Now I am a postdoctoral fellow within CMS research group at National institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN- Pavia section) - Italy. Also I am Assistant professor of physics at faculty of Women for Arts, Science & Education (Ain Shams University) with a demonstrated history of working in the university. Former postdoctoral researcher at Zewail City for Science and Technology. In the technical part, I am a member in GEM-muon team in CMS experiment, where I have the responsibility of power supply system of the GEM detector as well as developing DCS (Detector Control System) of GEM Detector. I am a Technical Shifter, Shift-Leader and a guide in a CMS experiment at CERN.
