Prof. Ashraf Abdel Aaty Mohamed
Biography
Dr. Ashraf A. Mohamed received his M. Sc. in Analytical Chemistry in 1991, from Ain Shams University, Egypt. During 1993-1995, he joined the department of applied chemistry, Yamanashi University, Kofu, Japan and was granted a Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry in 1995. He was appointed as an associate professor in 2002 and as a full professor of analytical chemistry in 2008. He served as the director of the studies and consultation center during 2014-2016 and as a vice-dean of community service and environmental affairs during 2016-2019, at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University. In 2022, ASU granted him the university special appreciation award due to his fruitful contributions to the university. He authored several reviews, book chapters, and more than 64 papers published in internationally reputable journals. His current research interests include nanomaterials, digital imaging sensors in analytical chemistry; paper-based microfluidics; optical sensors; kinetic and catalytic analysis, analytical applications of nanomaterials, molecularly imprinted polymers; layered double hydroxides; nanozymes and nanomaterials in water treatment and analysis.
