Hendawy Al-Mahdy is Professor and Head of the Educational Administration and Leadership Research Group at the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, and Professor of Educational Administration and Leadership at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University. • He serves as Head of the International Student Recruitment Hub at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in Oman, and as Vice President of the Egyptian Educational Research Association (est. 2025). He is also Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Future of Arab Education (Arab Center for Education and Development). • Prof. Al-Mahdy is an Editorial Board Member of PLOS ONE (Q1, indexed in Web of Science & Scopus), Education Point, The Journal of Education (Alexandria University), and Journal of Educational and Psychological Research (University of Baghdad). He is an active member of the British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) and the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). In addition, he regularly reviews for leading international publishers including Sage, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, Springer, Wiley, and Elsevier. • He has served as consultant for the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in studies on learning loss (UAE University, 2021) and educational project management (Sultan Qaboos University, 2020). He is currently advisor to the national project on the Sustainability of Private Higher Education Institutions in Oman (2017–2025). • Prof. Al-Mahdy has received multiple prestigious awards, including: • Distinguished Researcher Award, College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University (2021) • First Prize, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Award (Qatar University and Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation, 2020) • Ain Shams University Award for Excellence in International Publishing (2019–2025) • Scientific Publication Reward, Sultan Qaboos University (2018–2024) • First Prize, Distinguished Research Group Award, Sultan Qaboos University (2023) • ARCIF Arab Citation & Impact Factor Award for Arabic Publishing (2012–2022) • Excellence Award, First Cohort, Sultan Qaboos University (2023) • His research focuses on educational leadership, human resource management in education, economics of education and operations research, educational planning and policy, project management in education, inclusive education leadership for students with disabilities, applications of structural equation modeling in the social sciences, and artificial intelligence in education and leadership. • Prof. Al-Mahdy has published widely in high-impact international journals, reference books, and encyclopedias indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as in peer-reviewed Arabic journals. He has led and contributed to several international funded research projects, participated in global academic conferences, supervised nearly 40 theses, and examined or reviewed more than 50 master’s and doctoral dissertations.
