نبذه عن
Professor Jehan Farouk Fouad is a distinguished scholar and professor of English and comparative literature at the Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University in Egypt with a deep passion for exploring literary traditions across cultures. Her expertise spans various genres, periods, and critical theories, fostering a rich understanding of global literary discourse. Her research spans Romantic poetry and criticism, literary theory, women's studies, cultural studies and comparative literature. A prolific academic, Prof. Fouad has authored numerous articles and research papers, both in Arabic and English, that bridge diverse literary landscapes, and which are published in numerous national and international refereed academic journals. Beyond her written contributions, she is an active participant in national and international conferences and has delivered many public lectures, furthering discourse in her areas of expertise. As a professor of literature and critical theory, she believes that the study of literature is not merely an academic exercise but a profound engagement with human thought, history, and culture. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that literature and theory serve as tools for intellectual inquiry, critical reflection, and personal growth. Prof. Fouad earned her Ph.D. from Ain Shams University in 2002 and continues to inspire scholars and students alike with her insightful research and teaching.
