Continuation of a series of workshops for the Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit and the Center for People with Disabilities at Ain Shams University

In the continuation of the series of workshops organized under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, which targets students with disabilities at Ain Shams University, the University’s Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit, in cooperation with the Student Services Center with Disabilities, organized the fourth workshop for students with disabilities. This was said by Prof. Dr. Hind El-Hilali, Director of the University's Anti-violence and Harassment Unit.

       
   
       

She added that the symposium aims to provide students with disabilities with psychological and personal capabilities that will make them overcome the pressures and crises they may be exposed to from harassment and bullying, which can negatively affect their academic and social progress.

         
   
         

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Hind El-Hilali, and explained to the students the role played by the Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit and the importance of their participation in student community work.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Rana El-Hilali, Director of the Center for People with Disabilities at the university, explained the importance of the workshop for female students and the need for them to join voluntary and community work, which achieves the strategy of Ain Shams University in integrating students with disabilities with their peers at the university.

         
   
         

During the workshop, Dr. Amani Abd El-Aal, a clinical psychologist at the university and an art therapy training consultant, trained the students by providing them with psychological training that would give them the psychological skills needed to overcome stress using music and art.
