Prof. Dr. Mitsunobu Kano

- Vice Executive Director, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Okayama University.

Biography:

Dr. Kano started his professional career as a clinician, after graduating University of Tokyo. He then undertakes medical sciences motivated by a question: why some diseases are difficult to treat. By wishing to contribute to the society with the scientific expertise, he experiences various roles in public services including academy and governmental activities, including the recent appointment as the Science and Technology Co-Advisor to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (2019-22). In parallel he has established several projects including the young academy under Science Council of Japan as well as the whole-institutional efforts to achieve the SDGs in Okayama University.
