The end of the activities of the IELTS test workshop at the Faculty of Arts

under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Dr. Sherine Mazloum, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Graduate Studies and Research, launched the activities of the first workshop of a series of workshops organized by the University's Scholarships Welfare Office in cooperation with the British Council, as part of the university's plan to qualify and encourage faculty staff and the assistants teaching to apply for various scholarship programs that are consistent with the vision of The university to raise the level of education and scientific research at the international level.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at the university, organized the workshop in cooperation with the faculty of Arts, and the British Council.

         
   
         

The workshop was attended by Mr. Samer Fadel, Director of Business Development at the British Council, and Mr. Osama Al-Baili, the IELTS trainer and expert at the British Council.

The workshop included a detailed presentation by Dr. Abdullah Sami to introduce the services and means of technical support provided by the Office of Scholarships Welfare Office at the university to provide assistance to faculty staff and the assistants teaching in all stages of scholarship and after returning home. Then, Mr. Samer Fadel gave a detailed presentation to introduce the IELTS exam, its importance, and the academic institutions that accepts the exam as one of its requirements, and how to book the exam and apply for it.

Finally, Mr. Osama Al-Baili, the IELTS trainer and expert, presented the various skills required during the test, and trained the faculty staff and their assistants on the four parts of the tests (listening, speaking, reading, writing) using visual, audio, and paper means that display samples of the exam presented by the British Council for the participants in the workshop.

The workshop comes as part of a series of workshops organized by the Scholarships Welfare Office on a monthly basis in the various faculties of Ain Shams University to encourage applications for various scholarships and grants provided by the Central Administration of International Scholarships and Universities.

The second workshop for the IELTS test is scheduled to be held at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, and the office, in cooperation with the Faculty of Al-Alsun, will announce the registration methods for the workshop during the first of next week.
