March 2019 International Conference on Water Issues in the Middle East ... Reality and Future at the Middle East Research Center

The Middle East Research and Future Studies Center at Ain Shams University is organizing an annual international conference entitled "Water Issues in the Middle East, Reality and the Future", 16-17 March 2019, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development and Chairman of the Center. Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mouanis, Director of the Center and Head of History Department, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, stated this.

He stressed that water is an element that cannot be human, animal and plant to live without it as water is the lifeblood of life and all its creatures continue to live as the successive civilizations on the banks of the Nile and Mesopotamia are the best evidence that where water exists, life and economic and social growth exist.

He pointed to the conference's axes, which revolve around several main points: water in the ideology of the Middle East, water in the heavenly books, challenges and water resources, scarcity and its impact on economic growth, scarcity and its impact on political conflict. Water, rain (industrial rain), water and development issues, water and population, water and information.
