Ain Shams University is among the top four Egyptian universities in the World Ranking

Prof. Dr. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received report submitted by Dr. Essam Khamis, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research, on the ranking of the Egyptian universities in the World Ranking of universities "CWUR" 2018.

The report pointed to the progress of the ranking of 4 Egyptian universities in the world: Cairo universities occupied the rank (452), Ain Shams (715), Mansoura (884) and Alexandria University (903), according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Education Higher.

For his part, the deputy minister said that the classification of "CWUR" depends on seven indicators in the ranking of the best 1000 universities in the world: the quality of education, measured by the number of university graduates who won major international awards, medals in relation to the size of the university (15%), The number of university graduates who hold distinguished positions in international companies is measured by the size of the university (15%), as well as the quality of faculty members. It is measured by the number of academics who won major international awards, medals (15%) and research outputs, (15%), as well as scientific research (15%), as well as the effect, measured by the number of papers appearing in high impact journals (15%), citations, and the number of papers with high citations (10%). .
