A team from the Faculty of Computer and information sciences, Ain Shams University, will travel to the United States to participate in the ACM Global Software Competition from 20-25 May.

Prof.Dr. Mohammed Rushdi, Dean of the faculty, said that the faculty team consisting of three students, a coach and a supervisor, are competing with teams from 120 universities around the world.

The dean said that the team's qualification for the international competition came after winning the Arab competition for software last November, where the team won the third place among 120 teams representing 60 universities from 11 Arab countries.

The students have participated in the competition five years ago and have won 64 out of 100 international universities, including Harvard and California Universities in the United States of America, Oxford University in Britain and universities from China, Asia and Europe.
