The Faculty of Specific Education launches 17 electronic services and helps in spreading them to university faculties

The Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University has launched a series of e-services aimed at faculty, staff and students at the faculty through their official email.

This comes under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education Dr. Amani Hanafi Mohammed, Director of IT Project at the University Dr. Mohammed Hamdi Al-Alimi, and under the supervision of Dr. Hani Shaker Director of Information Technology Unit, Faculty of Specific Education.

 

Dr. Hani Shaker said that the  number of e-services provided by the faculty is 17 services, all of which depend on the official email of the faculty member, student or employee.

He added that these services saves a lot of time and effort and costs to the user, and it facilitates many administrative processes, in addition to it contributes to the preservation of files and paper documents.

 

The Director of the Information Technology Unit of the Faculty of Specific Education confirmed the great success achieved by these services, noting that the percentage of use in the faculty exceeds 90%, which prompted them to seek the development of more electronic services to be launched during the coming period.

Dr. Hani Shaker pointed out that these services have been used in the faculty for about two years. Pointing out that its success encouraged the university to call the Faculty of Specific Education to disseminate its pioneering experience in all faculties of the university.

He added that he held several meetings of IT department managers in a number of faculties and explained the services created by the information technology unit in the Faculty of Specific Education. He also reviewed the importance and benefits of these units.

He added that the Faculty of Agriculture and Education carried out a number of programs after coordination and benefit from the experience of the Faculty of Specific Education. Pointing out that the faculties of Girls, Nursing, Commerce, Arts and Dentistry are working in coordination with the Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education to develop these services.
